The U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles presented Home Depot HD with a grand jury subpoena, saying it wants documents and information about the company's handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste. The company disclosed the subpoena in a regulatory filing Friday. California state and local government authorities are also investigating the matter, and Home Depot said it's cooperating. The Atlanta-based seller of home-improvement merchandise said that while it can't predict the outcome of the probes, it doesn't expect the investigations to hurt its operating results or financial condition. Shares of Home Depot, a member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, were up 1 cent to $43.52 in after-hours trading.
