Comcast(CMSCA, CMCSK Quote) and Yahoo!(YHOO Quote) late Monday announced an online display and video advertising-centered partnership.

The deal will allow Yahoo! to sell video and display ads, among other things, for Comcast.net, the cable company's highly trafficked Web site.

The deal will also allow Comcast.net to tap Yahoo!'s network of advertisers and use the Internet giant's ad-serving, targeting and reporting technology.

Yahoo! and Comcast Interactive Media will also create new sponsorships and ad packages using Yahoo!'s platform. Yahoo!'s ad services will be included in a redesigned version of Comcast.net due out later this year.

Search services and Comcast's other properties are not part of the deal.

Shares of Yahoo! were up 9 cents to $28.13, and shares of Comcast were flat at $26.40 in recent extending trading.
