Europe's Markets Advance

Stocks in Asia were mixed overnight Friday, while Europe's markets leaned in favor of the bulls.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 rose 0.4% to 17,481, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up fractionally at 19,693. China's Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 gained 0.2% to 2716.

On the losing side, South Korea's Kospi dropped 0.1% to 1447, India's Sensex lost 0.2% to 13,286, and Singapore's Straits Times Index fell 0.4% to 3206.

Meanwhile, London's FTSE 100 was better by 0.3% to 6339, and Frankfurt's Xetra DAX rose 0.6% to 6899. The Paris Cac 40 added 0.7% to 5635, and Milan's MIB 30 was up 0.8% at 41,679.

The OMX Stockholm 30 eased 0.1% to 1222.

As for the Americas, Canada's S&P/TSX Composite gained 0.6% to 13,219, while Argentina's Merval edged ahead by 0.03% to 2075. Mexico's Bolsa was unchanged at 28,260, and Brazil's Bovespa shed 0.5% to 45,220.
