Mixed Markets in Europe

Equity indices were mixed across Europe on Monday, with the U.K.'s stocks on the rise while Germany's shares declined.

London's FTSE 100 was up 0.1% at 6316. Frankfurt's Xetra DAX was slipping 0.2% to 6875. The Paris CAC 40 was fractionally higher at 5680, and Milan's MIB 30 tacked on 0.2% at 42,599.

In Asia, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 lost 1.2% to 17,345, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng surrendered 0.5% at 20,456. China's market was mixed, and South Korea was higher.

Singapore's Straits Times Index added 0.2% to 3223, while India's BSE Sensex rose 0.8% to 14,516.
