Treasury Prices Rise

Bond prices were trending higher Monday afternoon, with gains improving as maturities extended.

The 30-year was up nearly 18/32 in price to 101 and was yielding 4.69%. The 10-year note was gaining 11/32 to 100 19/32, yielding 4.55%. Yields and prices move in opposite directions.

The two-year was up 3/32 to 100 7/32, yielding 4.62%, and the three-year was better by 5/32 to 100 18/32, yielding 4.54%. The five-year was higher by 7/32 at 100 18/32 with a yield of 4.50%.

In the currency market, the dollar was mostly weaker, falling against the yen, the euro and the Swiss franc. The greenback was steady vs. the pound.
