Treasuries were trading lower Tuesday as investors awaited a host of speeches from Federal Reserve officials, including one from Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the central bank.
The 10-year note was off 4/32 in price and yielding 4.82%. The 30-year bond was losing nearly 8/32 in price and yielding 4.92%. The two-year slipped 1/32 to yield 4.93%, and the five-year was losing 2/32, yielding 4.81%. In the currency market, the dollar was lower, falling against the euro, the yen and the British pound.
