Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Monday evening:
Colgate-Palmolive(CL Quote): "That is a truly great American company. It was a
fabulous (earnings) number. ... Colgate-Palmolive is on a tear. ... Holy cow, it's time to back up the truck*. Cleanest quarter in the whole group, with the exception of maybe
Clorox(CLX Quote)."
Sirius Satellite Radio(SIRI Quote): "I take the whip. ... I did the inexcusable recommending a stock that did not have the fundamentals on a takeover basis. Now I have to pay."
NYSE Group(NYX Quote): "The shorts lean on it. ... I think that the merger [with Euronext] is going to produce gigantic numbers ... a lot of people are impatient. ... I am sticking by it. I want to buy more for
Action Alerts PLUS.com."
Respironics(RESP Quote): "I believe very strongly ... that sleep apnea franchise is a strong one. Down two bucks from its high. I say bring me some Respironics."
Rackable Systems(RACK Quote): "Quarter was just awful." Cramer said maybe in August or September "you'll get some lift. ... That may have been the worst quarter so far in 2007."
Par Pharmaceutical(PRX Quote): "I have not liked the generic stocks. ... The companies that make generic drugs are commodity companies. They have nothing proprietary ... I will take any main-line pharma company over any knockoff company."
