Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Tuesday evening:
Crystallex(KRY Quote): "I have walked away from Crystallex and endorsed
Yamana(AUY Quote)." Cramer said he has done so because President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, where Crystallex does its gold mining, "has proven to be a recalcitrant, pseudo-Communist."
TiVo(TIVO Quote): "The bottom line is TiVo is Don'tBuyDon'tBuy."
Hydril(HYDL Quote): "This is in pressure-controlled products. ... As long as oil is north of 40 [a barrel], you are going to be safe there. ... I am buying that stock. Seems to be a floor under which the OIH (
Oil Service HOLDRs(OIH Quote)) stocks won't go below."
DirecTV(DTV Quote): "Happen to like DirecTV ... happen to like
EchoStar(DISH Quote). ... If
AT&T(T Quote) were serious, it would buy one of those companies."
Advanced Semiconductor(ASX Quote): "Another also-ran semi play. ... I do not want to own the semis here. There is not a single semi I want to own here other than
Marvell(MRVL Quote)," which Cramer sees as benefiting from
Apple's(AAPL Quote) iPhone business. Cramer owns Marvell for his
Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
Select Comfort(SCSS Quote): "I have stayed away from the bed business, frankly. ... I am putting a pox on all beds."
CenterPoint Energy(CNP Quote): "Just OK ... 3.5% yield. ... Basically I like the utilities here, so I can't dis it. Let me just give it a Don'tBuyDon'tBuy."
