NEW YORK -- Exxon Mobil (XOM - Get Report), the world's largest publicly traded energy company, is expected by analysts Thursday to post first-quarter profit of $2.10 a share, down from $2.14 a share a year earlier.
Analysts expect revenue to rise almost 10% to about $125 billion.
Exxon raised its quarterly dividend Wednesday by 21% to 57 cents a share from 47 cents.
Amazon (AMZN - Get Report), the online retailer, is expected by analysts to post first-quarter earnings of 7 cents a share, down from 44 cents a share a year earlier. PepsiCo's (PEP - Get Report) first-quarter earnings should come in at 66 cents a share, according to analysts, on revenue of $12.35 billion.
Dow Chemical (DOW - Get Report) is expected by analysts to report earnings of 59 cents a share on revenue of $14.96 billion. The estimates excludes a charge of $350 million for plant closings because of a slowdown in Europe.
Starbucks (SBUX), the coffee seller, is expected by analysts to post a profit of 39 cents a share on revenue of $3.18 billion in its fiscal second quarter.
