Butter behemoth Land O'Lakes promoted three top executives as Chris Policinski prepares to take over as CEO on Oct. 1.
The Arden Hills, Minn., dairy concern said the moves are "part of a structured transition process leading up to the transfer of leadership" as current chief Jack Gherty prepares to retire. "The three individuals involved in this restructuring of responsibilities have all displayed strong leadership, strategic planning and business management skills," Policinski said. "I look forward to continuing to work with them in their expanded roles and expect each of them to be an integral part of my ongoing leadership team." Land O'Lakes named Steve Dunphy executive vice president and chief operating officer of its dairy foods value-added business. It named Alan Pierson executive vice president and chief operating officer of its dairy foods industrial business, where he will be responsible for fluid milk procurement and marketing and industrial cheese manufacturing and marketing. And it tapped Barry Wolfish as vice president of strategy and business development, overseeing companywide strategy and mergers and acquisitions.>To order reprints of this article, click here: ReprintsTheStreet Premium Services For Personal Service: 877-471-2967
