AOL's chief technology officer and two other employees responsible for a recent privacy snafu departed, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Maureen Govern, hired as chief technology officer last September, will leave the company immediately, the Journal reported. She oversaw the AOL division responsible for the data release. A researcher and a manager overseeing the research have been dismissed as well, people familiar with the matter said, the Journal reported. The move at the Time Warner (TWX Quote) unit comes just two weeks after AOL admitted that data from more than 650,000 searchers ended up being improperly disclosed on its Web sites.- Loading Comments...
